SIDE SHORE PERFORMANCE WAVE: The new Ho'okipa Quads are a design evolution of the Custom Quads, with the aim of finding the best combination of speed, drive and turning ability. These boards offer great speed and grip for down-the-line and huge, long waves, but they don't mind the on-cross conditions with mushy waves that you encounter every day. These are the boards that Robby and Ricardo use in pure wavesailing conditions.
SHAPE DETAILS: The bottom shape features a single concave at the entrance of the nose which transforms into a double concave central section and then arrives at the stern with a flat. This creates a straighter scoop rocker line in the midsection while maintaining the curve in the rail. The flat centerline offers speed and gliding power. The rails start with a soft edge in the tip that runs through the mid section and into the tail section with sharp surfboard style rails. This rail design gives the board a confident drive and grip during the bottom turn even in choppy conditions, while providing a super clean release and top turn.
